This is a very desirable area for its proximity to Auckland and offers those who live there a country or a seaside lifestyle.

The Mahurangi Regional Park is at Sullivan’s Bay and is enjoyed all year round by residents and visitors. There is access to the beautiful Te Muri beach, also part of the park and Mita Bay. There is a boat ramp at Opahi Bay with beach access to the area for residents and visitors.

There are properties at Jamieson’s Bay and Opahi Bay that become available from time to time, but many are held by families for several generations.

Jamieson’s Bay is private for the residents and the two other bays are also private estates.
