This is a wonderful  area for beachside living, encompassing Sandspit, Snells Beach, Algies Bay, Martins Bay, Scandrett Park and Scotts Landing.

At Sandspit you have the ferry service to Kawau and the fabulous Kawau Bay area, as well as the Sandspit Yacht Club with an all tide jetty.

Snells and Algies are residential communities with a shopping centre at Snells servicing the area.

Scandrett Park is a regional park available for use by the public. Martins Bay has the campground and is very popular with rock fisherman at the southern end.

Scotts Landing has the Scott Homestead and a great beach, together with popular boat launching facilities.

 All of the beaches are popular with locals and day trippers alike.
