Puhoi began as a Bohemian settlement and is now a very popular area and is only 25mins north of the Harbour Bridge. In 2013 Puhoi will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its Bohemian Settlement.
Access to the motorway is great for those commuting to work. Puhoi offers many tourist attractions such as Puhoi River Kayaks and the Puhoi Valley Cheese company and café is located in the Puhoi valley. The Puhoi Pub is an iconic landmark and popular destination for a relaxing day out.
The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is another historic attraction. It was built in 1881, it has 22 stained glass windows, and has an altar painting that is an exact replica of one from a church in Bohemia where the first Puhoi settlers originated from.
This is mainly lifestyle block living with larger farms further up the valley. This area offers a great lifestyle for those choosing to live in the Puhoi area. It is midway between Auckland and Warkworth so has plenty of options for schools, shops, restaurants, medical services and many other facilities.
