About Barbara Steel
Barbara grew up in Hamilton and, in the late 70’s married and shifted to Wellington where her husband was stationed with the RNZAF. IN 1999, they sold up in Wellington, shifted to Tauranga and bought A Cat’s World boarding cattery in Oropi. In early 2018, after 19 years in the cattery, they sold to one of their customers and moved to Katikati.
After 19 years caring for cats, her knowledge is extensive, and she is always happy to offer advice or assistance to both clients and customers. For a cat, shifting house can be a very traumatic and stressful experience, and her knowledges could prove invaluable. She is also qualified to offer advice and recommendations on transporting both cats and dogs nationally and internationally.
Barbara is a keen walker/hiker, an avid traveller especially to destinations generally considered “off-the-beaten-track”. She volunteers at the Western Bay Museum, and also at Lexham Park. Barbara is also actively involved with both the Leprosy Mission and Mission Without Boarders, having travelled and spent considerable time in the field countries of both organisations.
Barbara has now qualified as a Property Consultant and has joined First National in Katikati. She is up-to-date with the latest laws and regulations, and is keen to talk to both sellers and buyers about their real estate requirements.
