About Michael Wang

Michael came from a dental health background and earned a degree in Dental Technology, with a minor in Information Science, from the University of Otago.

He began his real estate career in 2016, he assisted local families and investors in navigating the residential market. He quickly developed a reputation for attentive service, clear communication, and a results-focused mindset.

Seeking to broaden his skill set, Michael spent three years as Office Manager, where he oversaw AML compliance, client onboarding, CRM management and managing real estate trust account operations. This role provided him with deep insight into the transaction process from start to finish, sharpening his eye for detail and ensuring clients could rely on smooth, compliant, and stress-free transactions.

Most recently, Michael contributed to the digital transformation, applying new tools and processes to improve efficiency and client engagement. This experience reinforced his ability to adapt quickly and lead change in a rapidly evolving industry.

Michael’s move into commercial brokerage was driven by both opportunity and passion, as he has owned his business since 2020. With strong ties with local ethnic business communities, this confirmed his excitement for the sector and set his sights on becoming a trusted partner for businesses, landlords, and investors across the city.

Having lived in Rotorua since 2002, Michael is familiar with the city’s people, culture, and commercial heartbeat. He has seen firsthand the opportunities in a market that continues to evolve, with retail, office, and tourism-driven businesses forming the backbone of the local economy.

Outside of real estate, Michael enjoys Rotorua’s natural landscapes with his wife and two young children, flyfishing on the lakes or hiking.
